Equipment Classes
We are a direct buyer across the whole range: the padmounts behind commercial buildings, the dry-types inside them, the pole-mount cans in co-op surplus yards, the cast-coil units out of humid process plants, and the station-class transformers that need a route survey and a permit package before they can move. Padmount Transformers
Pad-mounted distribution transformers are the single most liquid item we buy. A dead-front loop-feed unit in the 75 to 2500 kVA range with a legible nameplate and a sound tank can be priced from photographs the same day.

Working and serviceable units
A serviceable transformer with a legible nameplate and a sound tank is a resale asset, and it is priced as one rather than as recoverable material. These bring the strongest numbers, particularly in common voltage classes and ratings.
De-energized and surplus stock
Units pulled from service and stored, or ordered and never installed, are excellent purchases. Storage time matters far less than tank integrity and bushing condition.
Failed and internally faulted units
A failed unit still holds copper or aluminum windings, core steel, a usable tank and often salvageable accessories such as tap changers, radiators and bushings. We buy failed equipment routinely and price it below serviceable units but well above scrap weight.
PCB-suspect and pre-1980 oil
Age and PCB-suspect fluid do not disqualify a unit. Disposal cost is priced into the offer and handled through licensed channels; we carry the compliance burden rather than passing it back to you.
