1. Photograph the nameplate

One clear photograph of the nameplate carries nearly everything we need: kVA rating, primary and secondary voltage, fluid type, impedance, manufacturer and year. If the plate is painted over or corroded, send what you can read and any purchase or maintenance records. Add one wide shot showing where the unit sits and how a truck could reach it — that photograph is what lets us scope the rigging and quote a net number rather than a range.

2. Take a firm number, usually the same day

We respond with a price, not an estimate subject to inspection. The offer already includes removal, so there is nothing to add later. There is no listing period, no commission and no third party deciding whether your unit sells.

3. Get paid before anything is lifted

On acceptance we send insurance certificates naming your entity and a bill of sale, and we issue payment by wire, ACH or certified check. Funds clear before our crew mobilizes. You are never waiting on us, and you are never in the position of having released equipment against a promise.

4. We remove it at our cost

Our crew arrives with the right equipment for the unit — boom truck or rough-terrain forklift for a padmount, machine skates and stair gear for an indoor dry-type, hydraulic crane and multi-axle lowboy for station-class equipment. Conduit is cut and capped, the unit is broken loose from its pad, anchor bolts are cut flush and the pad is left broom-clean.

De-energized and disconnected

The unit must be de-energized, disconnected and locked out by a qualified electrician or your utility before we arrive. That work is on your side of the line because it belongs to whoever holds the service. Everything downstream of the disconnect — breaking the unit loose, rigging, lifting, hauling — is ours.

Site access and a window

We need a route for the truck and the lift, and a window when we can occupy it. Nights and weekends are available and are often easier in dense downtown locations. If a demolition mobilization or an outage date drives your schedule, lead with the date when you call — we will confirm we can hit it before discussing numbers, because an offer you cannot execute against is worth nothing to either of us.

Nothing else

No testing. No inspection report. No oil analysis. No cleaning, no painting, no palletizing, no moving the unit closer to the road. Sellers routinely offer to do these things and we routinely tell them not to bother.
