We buy on our own account

There is no listing period, no commission and no third party deciding whether your equipment sells. When we quote a transformer we are quoting our own purchase price against our own book of resale and recovery outlets. That is what makes it possible to commit to a number and a removal date in the same conversation, and to pay before anything is lifted.

We price from the nameplate

kVA, primary and secondary voltage, fluid type, manufacturer and year tell us most of what determines value. Add the quantity and whether the unit is working, de-energized or failed, and we can return a firm number — not a range, and not an estimate subject to inspection at our yard.

We own the logistics

The crane or boom truck, the rigging crew, street occupancy and oversize permits, escorts and heavy-haul trucking are our scope and our cost, in every state. Conduit is cut and capped, anchor bolts are cut flush, and the pad is left broom-clean. Sellers receive a net number for the equipment and are never invoiced for the removal.

We handle the environmental side properly

Oil-filled equipment is drained, sealed and transported under manifest where required, and PCB-suspect units are handled to the applicable federal and state rules rather than quietly passed down the chain. Documentation follows the equipment.

Almost everyone who calls us has already been through a version of the same experience: a broker who tied the equipment up for months while shopping it, a scrap dealer who quoted by the pound and ignored the resale value of a serviceable unit, or a buyer who expected the seller to arrange a crane and a lowboy before the equipment would be collected. Each of those failures costs the seller time on a schedule that usually is not theirs to move — an outage window, a demolition mobilization, a service upgrade with a utility date attached.

So the three things people are most often burned on are the three things we fixed and published rather than negotiate. Payment goes out in full before the truck is loaded, which removes the risk that the equipment leaves the site before the money arrives. No testing or inspection contingency, which removes the risk of a price being revised downward after the unit is already gone. And all freight and rigging at our cost, which removes the largest hidden expense in any transformer sale.
