Transformer supply across Texas

Utility territory in and around Travis Ranch is served by Oncor, CenterPoint Energy, AEP Texas, Austin Energy, and the equipment those systems retire tends to be standard voltage-class distribution gear with good documentation. Beyond the utilities, Texas generates transformer turnover through the Gulf Coast petrochemical complex from Houston to Beaumont, Permian Basin oil and gas, semiconductor fabrication in Austin, very large data center construction across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and the largest wind and solar fleet in the country. We routinely remove units from basement vaults, upper-floor electrical rooms, fenced substation yards with a single gate, roof-level mechanical decks and live plant floors under escort. Where a unit will not fit through the opening it came in through, we handle door-frame removal, wall coring or on-site disassembly. Where the street must be occupied, we pull the permit. None of that is billed back to you.

Resale value versus scrap weight
