Why Texas equipment moves well

Our interest in Friona is not generic coverage — it is that Texas is our highest-volume state. The industrial base here spans the Gulf Coast petrochemical complex from Houston to Beaumont, Permian Basin oil and gas, semiconductor fabrication in Austin, very large data center construction across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and the largest wind and solar fleet in the country, and equipment out of those facilities is usually well specified and worth recovering rather than scrapping. Utilities in the area include Oncor, CenterPoint Energy, AEP Texas, Austin Energy. Freight runs I-10, I-20, I-35 and I-45 with the Ports of Houston, Beaumont, Corpus Christi and Brownsville all handling our heavy-lift and export loads.

The same rating with a cracked bushing and a weeping base weld is priced closer to materials. Copper windings beat aluminum materially. Non-PCB oil beats PCB-suspect oil, because the disposal cost is real. Documented test results — oil analysis, turns ratio, power factor — raise the number because they let a downstream buyer put the unit back in service instead of rebuilding it.
