What comes available in this state is shaped by what it runs: Chicago's data center corridor in Elk Grove and Aurora, food processing and agricultural equipment manufacturing, petroleum refining in the Joliet area, and heavy rail logistics. On the utility side, Commonwealth Edison, Ameren Illinois, City Water Light & Power Springfield all operate here, and surplus programs and system upgrades release both distribution and station-class equipment. Moving it out of Sullivan means Chicago is the national rail interchange and I-55, I-57, I-80 and I-90 all converge there, making it our Midwest consolidation hub.
