What comes available in this state is shaped by what it runs: military installations across Oahu, hotel and resort infrastructure, agricultural processing, and one of the highest distributed-solar penetrations in the country. On the utility side, Hawaiian Electric, Maui Electric, Hawaii Electric Light, KIUC all operate here, and surplus programs and system upgrades release both distribution and station-class equipment.
