What comes available in this state is shaped by what it runs: the Gulf Coast petrochemical complex from Houston to Beaumont, Permian Basin oil and gas, semiconductor fabrication in Austin, very large data center construction across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and the largest wind and solar fleet in the country. On the utility side, Oncor, CenterPoint Energy, AEP Texas, Austin Energy all operate here, and surplus programs and system upgrades release both distribution and station-class equipment.
