Utility territory in and around Westlake is served by Entergy Louisiana, Cleco, SWEPCO, Lafayette Utilities System, and the equipment those systems retire tends to be standard voltage-class distribution gear with good documentation. Beyond the utilities, Louisiana generates transformer turnover through petrochemical plants along the Mississippi River corridor, LNG export terminals on the southwest coast, offshore oil and gas service bases, and marine fabrication.
