Our interest in Sheldon is not generic coverage — it is that Iowa combines two of our best sources — hyperscale data center refreshes and first-generation wind repowering, both releasing young pad-mounted fleets. The industrial base here spans very large data center campuses in Des Moines, Altoona and Council Bluffs, ethanol and grain processing, wind generation at scale, and agricultural equipment manufacturing, and equipment out of those facilities is usually well specified and worth recovering rather than scrapping. Utilities in the area include MidAmerican Energy, Alliant Energy, Cedar Falls Utilities, Muscatine Power & Water. Freight runs I-80 and I-35 cross at Des Moines and the Mississippi River barge system handles our oversize station loads.

How a Sheldon removal actually runs

The sequence is consistent. You send the nameplate and a few site photographs. We return a firm number, usually the same day. On acceptance we schedule against your window and send you insurance documentation and a bill of sale in advance. Our crew arrives in Sheldon, cuts and caps conduit, breaks the unit loose from its pad or anchors, rigs and lifts it onto the trailer, and leaves the pad broom-clean with anchor bolts cut flush.
